Quickstart: Find your first qualified Reddit opportunity
Create a project, review an initial opportunity, and decide whether a conversation is worth your time. By the end of this guide you will have moved from a product URL to your first informed yes-or-no decision on a Reddit conversation.
Start with your product URL
In the dashboard, choose Create project and enter a public product URL.

Enter a page that explains your product and the people it is intended to help.
IntentLoom fetches the page, analyzes the product information, and generates an initial project summary and keyword candidates. The analysis completes and opens the project review step.
Start with the product page that best explains who you help and the problem you solve. Clear context gives IntentLoom a stronger starting point.
Review the project summary
Check and edit the generated project name and AI overview before continuing.
Look for:
- the customer and problem are described accurately;
- category terms are specific enough to guide matching;
- the wording does not claim you serve audiences you do not intend to reach.
When you are satisfied, continue to the optional competitor step. IntentLoom creates the project after that step; the reviewed description becomes part of the context used to qualify conversations.
Optionally add competitors
You can add up to two competitor websites, or leave the fields empty and move on.
Competitors create a separate monitoring view for learning about alternatives, objections, and the language people use when evaluating solutions. This step is optional. Do not let perfect competitor research delay your first opportunity; competitors can be added later from project settings.
Review your first opportunities
After the project is created, open the Posts inbox. Start with the default new-workflow view, then open an item that looks relevant.
When reviewing an opportunity:
- Read the original Reddit post and surrounding thread context.
- Check whether the problem, timing, and audience align with your project.
- Treat the relevance score and AI summary as prioritization aids, not a substitute for your own judgment.
- Save the opportunity if it merits follow-up; remove it if it is not a fit.
If the inbox is quiet, check back as new Reddit conversations appear or refine your project signals to explore a wider range of discussions.
Engage thoughtfully
If you decide to participate, open the thread on Reddit and write a helpful response. Use any AI reply draft as a starting point, then shape it to the conversation, your voice, and the community before you post.
Tune after the first review
After reviewing a few opportunities, adjust based on what you see:
- Good conversations, but too few — Broaden or add customer-language signals in your project configuration.
- Too much noise — Refine keywords and block noisy sources.
- No new matches yet — Keep monitoring. Matching depends on Reddit activity around your signals; there is not a guaranteed cadence for results.
